They are experts on Italian seasonality and from whichever region of Italy we want to get inspired from, Vincenzo is able to advise and recommend products. Recently Vincenzo got us some fantastic Parmigiano aged for 36 months from Emilia Romagna and also some incredible Tropea onions from Calabria.

I have known Vincenzo since I was 16 years old and first arrived in London working for Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio.

I then went to work for Cecconi’s, which has grown massively since I started in Mayfair.. I am now based in California but when I was based in London he allowed me to be more expressive with my cooking, allowing me to access fantastic seasonal and regional fruit and vegetables from across Italy. He knows all the best farmers and growers and has contacts in all the regional markets. The best!

I have known Vincenzo since he was 13 years old! He had just arrived from Italy after a big earthquake in Napoli. He was trying to balance school, learning English and selling his Italian fruit and vegetables to Italian restaurants in London. I always used to cook for him and I could never feed him enough. He became a bit of an adopted son to me and Antonio Carluccio. Like many of my boys at Neal Street, Vincenzo went on to create an amazing business and transform Italian cuisine in London. It’s hard to have a great Italian restaurant in London without Vincenzo and his passion.. just ask around! I still speak to him everyday and he brings me the best seasonal and regional produce from around Italy every week.
